About the Department

Commerce education in India began in 1886 with the establishment of a Commercial School in Chennai,(erstwhile Madras).Embarked on this voyage NPR Arts and Science College in Natham, established the department of Commerce with Computer Application in the academic year 2007-2008 at UG level and M.Com CA degree in the academic year 2008-2009 at PG level and now it is one of the pioneer department in the college.

The Department offers a comprehensive ,contemporary and value added curriculum with prescribed syllabi by Madurai Kamaraj University under CBCS pattern.

The Department has well enriched faculty members with the qualifications of M.Phil with PGDCA,NET/SET and Doctorates.     

The Department offer an eclectic options for students with updating their theory and practical knowledge, skills and tools needed to make them competitive in a global economic environment.

Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to B.Com (CA) Semester Degree Course should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Tamil Nadu (or) and other examination accepted as equivalent by the Syndicate of Madurai Kamaraj University.
