ABOUT DEPARTMENT

NPR College of Nursing & Research Institute – Allied Health Science, Cardiac Technology was established in 2021 and affiliated by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai. We are conducting a B.Sc., Cardiac Technology Course (4 Years) which provides proficiency to individuals and candidates in diagnosing, treating & preventing disease through the usage of clinical laboratory tests.

The course is structured to train students in Applying Theoretical & Clinical Skills & enabling them to understand essential concepts of Cardiac Technology. Students get a chance to earn practical knowledge about advanced & technical equipment related to the functioning of the heart & vascular system.

OBJECTIVES

This program enables candidates to evolve into fully trained, qualified Cardiac Technicians capable of working independently. The course is structured to qualify students to perform the following clinical tasks.

• Equip with skills in operating cardiac diagnostic procedures like ECG, Echocardiography.
• Using and Maintaining Medical Cardiac Equipments.
• Applying advanced life supports.
• Able to assist with invasive and noninvasive cardiac and emergency procedures.

ELIGIBILITY

The eligibility criteria for B.Sc., in Cardiac Technology students, must have completed 10 and +2 in Science with a minimum percentage of 45% marks. Below we have listed the eligibility criteria that interested candidates need to fulfill in order to pursue B.Sc., (Cardiac Technology). A student should have cleared 10 and +2 in science from a recognized board (or) institution with a minimum aggregate score of 45%. They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the last qualifying examination.
