Dr. B. Maruthu Kannan is an Automobile Engineer, with a B.E. in Automobile Engineering from IRTT, an M.E in Automobile Engineering from MIT, Anna University, and a Ph.D. from NITTTR, Chennai. He worked in several core industries like Ashok Leyland, Autolec, TCS, and Siemens for about 6 years and also worked in different reputed Engineering Colleges and universities for 21 years.

He is a frequent speaker at industry and academic events. His Doctorate is in Automobile Engineering and Engineering Education. Using the above he trained more than 2000 Engineering and Polytechnic Faculty on different titles, ranging from IDDS (Instructional Design and Delivery Systems) to Creativity in Engineering Education.

He anchored various international HR connect and women empowerment programs for participants from more than 27 countries under the MHRD, India scheme through NITTTR. Charismatic and persuasive leader featuring expertise in public speaking, Hypnos sustained motivation and media relations with an extensive background in Academic expertise and research related to teaching–learning.
